Steel Structure General Design(Drawing) Software-SGS

　　At the beginning of establishment, North Space established the technic-first strategy. In 1997, North Space foreboded the great increase of steel structure in China according to the status of civil construction and steel structure industry. North Space felt that it must own the design software with an independent intelligent property and master the core technology of steel structure. As a result, North Space decided to develop Chinese steel structure design and analysis software, named Steel Structure General Design(Drawing) Software-SGS. With four years of hard work and the cooperation with Tsinghua University Structure Research Institute in 1998,SGSwas the first one winning the certification of China Construction Metal Structure Association together with other famous foreign steel structure software. It also passed the usage examination of about two hundred of practical projects.

　　SGS is the fruit of the cooperation of structure engineers and software developers, which directly faces the actual requirement of civil construction steel structure and also fills the vacancy of relative fields in China.

　　SGS can perform the design and analysis tasks about light-weight gabled frame building structure, multiple-story frame structure, thin-wall steel structure, truss structure and other complex structures, calculate all kinds of load combinations, generate resistance envelop diagram and draw the vertical assemblage draft of a structure, It can generate complete structure design description and account. In addition, SGS can also carry out several types of steel structure joints and draw detail drawings of joints.

　　SGS not only is the CAD system of standard steel structure but also can accomplish unusual structure design flexibly and quickly. Moreover, it also has the capability to design and calculate the compound structure with reinforced concrete and steel and the compound structure of concrete-encased steelwork and steel according to the requirement of customs.

　　SGS adopts the object-oriented development method to establish the reuse mechanism of software, by which the software function can be easily expanded. The software realized the executive-centered tiered CAD system and information model mechanism for any engineering structure.
